Civil Engineer, EIT

We are seeking to add a full-time Civil Engineer, EIT with 3-4 years of experience, to our team. The position is salaried with benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.

Experience, Skills, and Certification:

Bachelor's Degree (BS) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university and a registered EIT. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel recommended.

The applicants must have an understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Design elements include Site, Grading & Drainage, Hydraulics, Erosion & Sediment Control, Utility, Roadway, and Subdivision Design.

Responsibilities:

  • Excel in developing detailed complex grading and drainage plans in the latest AutoCAD Civil 3D software

  • Create complex hydrology studies and watershed modeling

  • Ability to quickly grasp and implement new design procedures/ordinances

  • Knowledge in design of transportation systems (roadway, intersection, pedestrian, etc.)

  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills

  • Possess technical writing skills

  • Ability to analyze a project's needs in terms of scope and client expectations

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through regular communication

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail in the design and appearance of construction documents

  • Ability to present projects to Planning Commission, City Council, and County Commissioners for approval.

Bachelor's Degree (BS) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university and a licensed PE. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required.

Responsibilities:

Land Survey Crew Member

We are seeking to add a full-time survey crew member to our team.  The position is hourly and includes individual health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and an optional retirement plan.

Experience, Skills, and Certification:

Experience preferred but not required in Land Surveying for Land Development.

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of a party chief, job responsibilities will include:

  • Represent the company in a positive manner

  • Operate and utilize all survey equipment

  • Collect field measurements and data collection for Boundary, Topographic, ALTA, and Subdivisions

  • Stock vehicle for daily tasks

  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and welfare of all equipment in the field

 

Skills:

  • Diligence and attention to detail are a must

  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time in various weather conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds momentarily.

  • Good communication skills are required to properly communicate with the crew chief before, during and after completion of field work

    • Work cooperatively in a multiple crew setting

    • Dependable and punctual

    • Ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively

Construction Inspector

We are seeking to add a full-time Construction Inspector to our team.  The position is salaried with benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.

Experience:

Experience in civil construction, environmental compliance, AutoCAD, and/or land surveying is highly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Director of Construction, job responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct erosion and sediment control inspections.

  • Monitor projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with the construction plans.

  • Assist with as-built surveys near the completion of a project.

  • Be the first line of communication between site contractors and the project engineer.

  • Communicate with local municipalities to ensure project compliance.

  • Review contractor payment applications.

 

Skills:

Skills the applicant should possess:

  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans. Additional training can be provided.

  • Diligence and attention to detail are a must.

  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds momentarily.

  • Basic computer skills are required.

  • Good communication skills are required.
