Dauphin Island Sea Lab Mammal Research Center

This project consists of the construction of a 2,300 square foot, single story lab located at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.  The lab helps support the study of dolphin, whale, and manatee strandings in the Gulf of Mexico.

The civil design included infiltration swales, drainage infrastructure, utilities, pervious pavement, and site layout.  The Sea Lab is an active campus.  When laying out the site, we had to take into consideration how students would access the adjacent Shelby Center and offices during construction.
