National Bank of Commerce
Client: Walcott Adams Verneuille
Location: Fairhope, Alabama
Role: Civil Engineer
The bank is located in downtown Fairhope in close proximity to one of the city’s gullies, which helps transport stormwater run-off to the bay. The site was small with no room for standard surface detention; therefore we elected to utilize pervious concrete and pavers for the majority of the site. We also implemented a series of smaller underground storage basins, in order to reduce the impact on the adjacent gulley. The bank is complete and during normal rain events, the pervious concrete infiltrates all of the run-off.
