This site was originally an automotive repair shop that had been closed for several years. The client envisioned a development which would be a green business incubator for the city supporting the craftspeople, farmers, and artisans within the community. In order to conserve natural resources, a windmill and solar panels produce energy. Lighting is primary provided through skylights. Rainwater is harvested and utilized for irrigation, dog water, and to flush toilets. Grey water is treated in a grey water garden.  Excess run-off bypasses the cisterns and is infiltrated into the ground through sand chimneys.
